In this series, I am going to cover numerous work from home ideas that will not break the bank to get started in.

This is going to be the final installment of this guide on home based business ideas.  We have covered 36 different ideas so far, with several more to come in this installment alone.  We have covered topics from arts and crafts, to decorating, and more in between.  Let us continue along and complete this guide.

Do you have a great love for animals?  If so, a pet-sitting business might be purr-fect.  Many people look for someone to watch their pets when they are unavailable.  Personally, my house is often a home away from home for my sisters’ dog when she goes out of town and is unable to take her spoiled greyhound mix with her.  You have to have plenty of patience to succeed at this, while most pets are likely to be housebroke, some might not be. 

Most people, who would be using this type of service, are quite likely to be highly spoiling their pets as well.  Be prepared to have precise schedules and routines as well as animals appear to your house wearing clothes and other items.  Always make sure you interact with the animals in your care in a professional manner, as well as never make fun of any animal that comes to your house, regardless of what “outfit” they are wearing when they arrive.

If you enjoy working with animals, then perhaps you would love to be a dog trainer.  Dog trainers enjoy their time spent helping dogs learn to be well-behaved members of their families.  New pets come home daily, work on making contacts and connections with good reputable breeders in your area to help find out the information of new pet owners to offer your services to. 

Find out information from the AKC about their Good Citizen program for dogs, this is sometimes required for some landlords and property management companies to allow a dog to move into their property, being able to offer this service is wonderful as most places only offer basic training for your pet.

Pet breeder is another business to look into.  Best are those animals that have high demand and will go to carefully screened homes.  Make sure you never just hand over a pet to someone just because they have money, always carefully check out the potential buyers to make sure that the pets will go to loving homes that will not abuse or mistreat them.  While being a breeder does have the opportunity to generate a great cash flow, there are some risks and responsibilities that everyone must know about before attempting to become a breeder. 

It is very important to make sure you realize that if you do breed your beloved family pet there is always a risk of complications, ranging from infection to death.  It is also important to realize that many breeders end up docking tails and clipping dewclaws themselves to help save money.  If the mere thought of this sends cold chills down your spine then this is likely not something, that is for you.  While adorable puppies are the sweetest thing to look at, they are a lot of work.

Do you enjoy doing sales?  Do you still want to have a nice schedule that you can work around your other daily activities?  If so then perhaps doing a business like Avon or Mary Kay or another company who does sales parties would be better suited for you.  Businesses like this tend to offer good profits, while involving only a small investment of the initial products to get started with. 

Most people, who are successful with this type of business, are those who were already customers of this company previously.  It is always best in this type of business to be able to give honest feedback and opinions of the products based off your own personal experiences with it.  Customers always prefer real opinions, over those opinions that have to be bought.

Do you get a major kick out of shopping and putting together great little gift baskets?  If so then this is something you can create and market to people.  Gift baskets that are customized for the receiver are always incredible gifts that can vary greatly in price range.  Ranging from the inexpensive to the extravagant basket there are price ranges to suit everyone’s budget that can be created with uniqueness and creativity. 

If you enjoy making things, whether cookies and bread, or even creating custom candles then you can lower your cost by making some of the items you include in the baskets.  I personally spent a small fortune on some candles that I found at a crafts fair that are in Martini glasses and with incredible scents.  Things like this are very popular and would make great additions in gift baskets.
